Build My Life | June 14th, 2026
This week in our Build My Life series, we explored one of Jesus’ most challenging and distinctive teachings: “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” In a world shaped by division, retaliation, and tribalism, Jesus calls his followers to a radically different way of living.
We saw that loving our enemies does not mean excusing evil, ignoring injustice, or pretending wrong is right. Instead, it means responding with clarity, compassion, service, and prayer while entrusting ultimate justice to God. Jesus himself modeled this perfectly—speaking truth boldly, extending compassion to sinners, and even praying for his enemies from the cross.
As followers of Jesus, we are called to reflect the heart of our heavenly Father, who shows grace even to those who oppose him. And through prayer, God not only transforms our hearts, but often begins transforming the lives of others as well.
