Our very own Daniel Kunkel walked us through Philemon verses 1–10, reminding us that everyone is equal in God’s family. Paul writes to Philemon not from a place of power but on the basis of love, showing us that partnership and unity are at the heart of following Christ. We learned that the true marker of faith isn’t status or self-sufficiency, but selfless love that reflects the cross. And, because of Christ’s sacrifice, we are not just acquaintances or colleagues but brothers and sisters, sons and daughters in the family of God.
