Sketches Of Redemption | October 12th, 2025

This Sunday, our own Daniel Kunkel walked us through Genesis 11 and the story of the Tower of Babel, uncovering three lies humanity still believes today: that God is not enough, that we are not enough, and that God’s plan for us is not enough. Just like those who built the tower, we often try to “reach heaven” on our own—seeking control, recognition, or comfort—rather than receiving what God has already given through Christ.

Yet the good news of Babel is that even as humanity scattered in confusion, God’s redemptive plan continued. From Shem’s line came Abraham, and ultimately Jesus—the One whose name is above every name. Through Him, heaven has come down, and we are invited not to build our own name, but to reflect His.
